BMX competitions in Canberra

Back Bone BMX are having competitions across Canberra.

Weston Creek 17th April 17:30 pm
Woden 18th April 16:30 pm
Civic 19th April 12:00 pm
Belconnen 20th April 14:30 pm
Gungahlin 21th April 16:00 pm

For 1st place there will be a brand new BMX Fitbike.co 2011 model.
2nd place there will be Back Bone BMX shirts and a colony frame.
3rd place there will be s&m bars.

There will be throw aways including, shirts, grips, hats, seats and stickers.
Every one should go and have fun.

Fixing your BMX

To fix a BMX you need tools, if you don't have tools and don't know how to fix it go to your local BMX store and get them to fix it. When riding BMX you do get broken parts, flat tyres, buckled wheels, worn down tyres and more. What I recomend when you get a BMX is to keep the tools that come with it or buy some new tools for when you need to fix it. For fixing a BMX the tools that you will need is a shifter, or spanners, allen keys, socket set, door stop, tyre leavers, scew drivers, pump etc.

When you get a BMX you need to know how to fix parts and you need these tools.

BMX games

BMX games were held in Stromlo 2011 and it's going to be held there for three more years. At BMX games they had big dirt jumps and a portable park. All the riders who entered went friday 25th February 2011 to practice then saturday the 26th the event was on dirt, all the riders who entered for dirt were riding. On sunday the 27th the main event was riding the park. I liked the park more they did better tricks than dirt.

Riding BMX

A lot of people ride BMX every one likes different things of BMX such as skateparks, street such as stairs, rails some people ride dirt jumps. There is different parts for BMX theres dirt tyres and park tyres dirt tyres have more tread on them for the grip so you don't slide out and some park tyres are slick so you can go faster.
On my BMX I have a dirt front tyre and a slick back tyre because I mainly ride skatepark.
So when you go ride a BMX try riding dirt jumps, skatepark and street and see what you like beter and buy the parts that are for it.

BMX Parts

BMX parts include frames, wheels, bars, forks, seat, etc.
It's important to know what not to buy and what to buy because some parts break easier than other parts and some parts cost a lot more than others that break quicker. If you don't know what to buy ask a worker or some one who rides they can tell you what parts are worth the money.
